  1. Hey guys, been making some lower level weapons, and I would like to see if the prices sound reasonable to you guys. I have come up with a formula that will allow me to make a decent amount of profit on my merchandise, but I want to be sure it doesn't seem priced too high. Keep in mind, I can't make D18 Pistol Price - 1500 Combat Level - 5 DPS - 30 - 32 SAC - 107 - 110 DL44 Pistol Price - 1800 Combat Level - 6 DPS - 32 - 34 SAC - 110 - 112 E11 Rifle Price - 14500 Combat Level - 22 DPS - 95 - 110 SAC - 128 - 134 Ryyk Blade Price - 21250 Combat Level - 50 DPS - 200 - 210 SAC - 107 - 120 Estimate: T-21 Rifle Price - 75000 Combat Level - 54 DPS - ??? (I think around 300) SAC - 128 - 134 **My formula for the T-21 actually makes it 240,000 Credits, but I think that may be too high. The reason is the amount of resources needed to put into a T-21, and the fact that there are a lot of specific resources. DX2 Pistol Price - 70000 Combat Level - 54 DPS - ??? (I think around 250) SAC - 110 - 120 **My formula for the DX2 actually makes it 92,500 Credits, but again, I am not sure that the market is sustaining the price. Please let me know what you think of my prices. If they are too high, too low, etc. Also, for the two Estimates, I would really appreciate your input, because I would love to sell those two at those prices, would make my day if I could sell several T-21s a week. Thanks

As far as Patches and Syrce go. One thing I would definately say, make sure you are having fun. I was having fun as a Rifleman/Combat Medic. I was able to kill all the things I used to be able and kill, just not able to run in with VKs blazing madly. I had to develop a strategy and be very careful (Like you are supposed to do when fighting big creatures). If I were in your shoes, I would just wait on Syrce, in time the DEVs will see some small problems, especially now that RoW is out. And they will probably make some adjustments that will help out grinding Jedi. I would then turn to Patches, and just have a blast with him, your leveling up Pistols, try out Rifles and Carbines, maybe Master Marksman and see which you like the most, then continue on to that Elite Profession. Try out some Medic abilities, look at Combat Medic (I thought it was a blast), explore the CU to its fullest, and be sure of one thing. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DOUBLE XP WEEK!!!!

As far as mining asteroids go, I say do it, in about a month I will hopefully be working on Shipwright (hopefully already having AS and WS Mastered). And I hear that the new stuff for SW that has the asteroid mining is pretty cool.
  4. At first glance of it (as long at Shawkorrr helps me out with resources), I think I will be moving to: Master Weaponsmith Master Armorsmith Master Shipwright 0030 Merchant
  5. Well, I went on Test Center because I got my RoW Beta Activated thanks to Syrce, so I thought I would have a look. Really didn't get far, mainly because I wanted to slice my T-21, so I got Master Smuggler and Master Weaponsmith to make the appropriate things, and got my first slice (took a couple of minutes since I really didn't know what I was doing). I thought, "Cool, my rifle is pretty awesome now," but after awhile I thought, "I bet I can make a better T-21 Rifle, then my slice would be even better!" So I spent about 20 mins just getting to the point where I could make one factory run of a component that will make the Personal Crafting Station to make the T-21 Rifle. While I was pretty flustered having to click soooo many times just to find good resources through the frog, I realised that I miss crafting a lot. Don't know if many of you know, but on Eclipse, I was one of the first 10 Architects on the Server, and I have Mastered Architect, Droid Engineer, Chef, Merchant, almost mastered Weaponsmith and Tailor. I was the Guild Representative for the Crafters, and I was very active in the Crafting Community for SWG. I don't craft anymore because I enjoy being with my brother here on Wanderhome more then crafting. So the point of this whole ordeal, is that I am seriously considering going back to crafting. The only reason I was considering combat on Wanderhome, was because I really wanted to be a Jedi. But even with my nice new template, I still probably will not be a Padawan for several years. So, I know we have some crafters in the guild, though not many, especially since we lost Patches. With the new CU changes, I will be trolling through the boards a lot on the crafter side to see what is in demand on our server and in general. If you have any requests, I would appreciate you voice them, so I can see what our guild in particular could use. I am leaning right now on at least Weaponsmith, though not 100% sure. Also, Shawkorrr, since crafters are highly vulnerable in gathering resources, I was hoping that I could possibly enlist your services to sell resources to me at a reduced rate, and I would provide you and your partner a percentage of all my sales. Let me know. Thanks
  6. I looked for about an hour and a half and couldn't find a doctor to heal my wounds, so now I am going to modify my template at least include Novice Doctor so I can save time. I have noticed a significant reduction in players. I know a thread was going around one evening, and the total count of people posting they had canceled account had gotten up to around 300, and a lot of them had multiple accounts. It is very scarse around the Galaxy lately.
  7. Haven't looked yet, what type of house you want, and where can I find one of the type you want?
  8. Just looked at: Master Rifleman Master Combat Medic 0001 Pistoleer (stopping shot) I like this template a lot. I can really mess some things up. And for the first time, I was able to take out a complete lair without getting incapacitated. I did a Quenker Lair, and they spawned at level 81 (me being a level 80). They conned yellow, so I was a little hesitant at first. But after finding out that Paralyse (Combat Medic Skill) does the same as root, I was pretty happy. I can paralyse a lot faster then I could do a stopping shot from my rifle. I had to be within a certain range, but it didn't seem to affect me too much, since I would just run out several meters once the paralyse would take affect. I could get three head shots with my rifle before the paralyse would wear off, which made me pretty happy. I was able to kill the lair only getting hit about 6 times by a quenker. And since I could heal myself, it wasn't too much of a worry. I definately recommend Rifleman, its a really good Combat Profession, and I think with the Combat Medic's ability to paralyse, disease, poison, slow down attacks, lower state resist, and set the opponent on fire, makes them perfect for a support role in combat. Especially with Rifleman, and grouped with a Melee Player. Now saying all of this, I am going to be dropping my Pistoleer to pick up some Doctor. New Template Master Rifleman 4004 Marksman Master Combat Medic 4000 Doctor 4441 Medic I think this will work (since Kodian's CU Calc is wrong for Combat Medic), which will allow me to do all of the above, but also heal my own wounds, and heal damage a lot faster then with my Combat Medic skills.
  9. Well I have respec'd twice now. My first was the Range template I posted here. It worked out ok. I was able to take one NPC that was my level. The problem with the template is that the Flame Thrower only has a range of 25 meters, so if I fought anything with a range attack, I was cutting it close. I got incapped constantly with anyone ranged. With Melee NPCs, of course they were toast (literally). With the ability to root them with flames was awesome. I was a little disappointed though because my Flame Thrower maxed damage ability was only about 1100. All in all, I wasn't too happy with it. The next time I respec'd I decided to go Rifleman/Pistoleer, with a little bit of Carbineer. This template with a T-21 Rifle was much better, since I could sit at 64 meters and root them, which meant no ranged attack (unless they had a rifle) would be able to hit me. The one thing that surprised me the most was the fact that my T-21 could belt out 2000 damage, which was a heck of a lot better then the Flame Thrower. I think the next template I may try will be some form of Combat Medic, I will have to work it out. All in all, the CU is ok. I know a lot of my complaints about it, is that I can't go kill huurtons and quenkers for 1.5 hours and max out my XP in my weapon. But in reality, that makes this game all the more better, since I will now actually earn my Jedi (if I get there), instead of just grinding through it.
  10. I think that would sound good. I have 8 lots and willing to donate them for the cause, if you guys want. Also, a side note, Shaw, if you want to use any of my lots to place some harvestor for your resource business, let me know, I will be glad to plot down some heavies.
  11. Ok, with all of the "Special Attack Sharing" that is now allowed in the CU, I think I have come up with a pretty cool Ranged Template, which actually, will allow you to grind out your FS XP at a decent rate since you can gain experience in 6 different combat XP if you so desired. Master Marksman Master Commando 0030 Carbineer 4204 Pistoleer 0400 Rifleman With this template, you can do: Improved Conceal Shot (Attack without detection) Disarming Shot (Causes target to not attack for a short period of time) Improved Fan Shot (Hits multiple targets in a cone in front of you) Improved Stopping Shot (Stops the target from moving) Improved Charge Shot (Knocks your target down) And the beauty of all of this is....you can do this all with a Flamethower applying a Fire DoT. Also if you got really good weapons for each you can get Rifle, Pistol, Carbine, Heavy Weapon, Grenade (if they create it), and Combat XP and max it all out. The Certifications you would hold would be: Jawa Ion Rifle Spraystick Rifle Striker Pistol DH17 Pistol Power5 Pistol SR Combat Pistol EE3 Carbine Fragmentation Grenade Cryoban Grenade Glop Grenade Imperial Detonator Thermal Detonator Proton Grenade Heavy Particle Beam Cannon Lightning Beam Cannon Rocket Launcher Flame Thrower Heavy Acid Rifle Heavy Acid Beam
  12. Ok, been kicking around some post-CU Templates using Kodan's SWG Professional Calculator for the Combat Upgrade. Would like some suggestions. Basically, I only want to be a PvE player, and be able to assist groups in a big way. I really like Ranger, but since SWG $&ed us in the CU, I will be dropping Master Ranger until the Ranger revamp scheduled some time after CU. Here are the templates: Master Teras Kasi Artist Master Commando 4/0/4/0 Smuggler Master Bounty Hunter Master Pistoleer 0/0/4/4 Creature Handler Master Pistoleer Master Creature Handler 0/0/4/4 Bounty Hunter Master Rifleman Master Creature Handler 0/0/4/4 Bounty Hunter Master Pistoleer Master Combat Medic 0/0/4/0 Bounty Hunter Those are just a couple I am debating, input is appreciated. Thanks Gaidin Namor
